Cookies policy

Cookies Policy of thesecondstep.net, operated by Studio DR sp. z o.o. Last updated: 12.10.2026.

This Cookie Policy explains how Studio DR sp. z o.o. (“Studio DR”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on thesecondstep.net (the “Website”), and the choices you have. Please read it together with our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy, which explains more generally how we handle personal data.

1. The essentials

  • We set only the cookies that are strictly necessary to run the Website and checkout, unless you say yes to more.
  • The only optional cookies we use today are analytics cookies (Matomo, operated by Studio DR). We do not use advertising cookies.
  • We ask before setting any optional cookie. “Accept all”, “Reject all” and “Customise” are equally easy to choose, and closing the banner without choosing counts as “no”.
  • We never use optional cookies or similar technologies on any page where you answer reflection questions, or where your trainer or administrator reads your answers.
  • You can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files, and similar technologies such as pixels and local storage, that a website stores on your device to remember information about your visit, for example that you are logged in, or how you found the Website. Some are set by Studio DR directly (“first-party” cookies). Others are set by the tools we use, such as our payment provider (“third-party” cookies). In this Policy, “cookies” also means these similar technologies.

3. Which cookies do we use, and why?

Essential cookies

These cookies are necessary for the Website and checkout to work, and cannot be switched off in our systems. They keep you logged in to your GrowPoint account (including the “Keep me logged in” option, if you choose it), remember your progress and cart, support the Website’s basic security, remember your cookie choices, and let our payment provider, Stripe, process your payment securely. Stripe’s cookies are set only on the pages where you pay. Under Polish law (Article 399 of the Electronic Communications Law), essential cookies do not require your consent. We list them here for transparency.

Analytics cookies

With your consent, we use Matomo to understand how visitors use the Website, for example which pages are most popular and how people move between them, so that we can improve it. Matomo is operated by Studio DR. The data stays with Studio DR and is not shared with advertising networks. These cookies do not run unless you accept this category in our cookie banner.

Advertising cookies

We do not currently use advertising cookies. If we ever introduce them, we will first update this Policy and ask for your separate consent through the cookie banner.

5. How do we ask for your consent?

When you first visit the Website, a cookie banner lets you accept all optional cookies, reject all of them, or customise each category. All three choices are equally prominent, and rejecting is possible from the first screen. Essential cookies are always on, since the Website cannot work without them. Analytics cookies stay off until you actively say yes. If you close the banner without choosing, we treat it as a refusal, and the Website works in the same way.

We store your choice, together with the version of the banner text you saw and the date, so that we can show that you consented. We ask again if we add a new category or tool, if the banner text changes materially, or after [6–12 months].

6. How can I control or withdraw my cookie choices?

You can change your choices at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page of the Website. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it: when you switch a category off, the related scripts stop loading and the cookies of that category are deleted. Withdrawal does not affect what happened before you withdrew.

You can also block, delete or be notified about cookies through your browser’s own settings. If you do, some parts of the Website, particularly checkout, may not work as well.

7. Cookies and the reflection questions

As explained in the section of our Privacy Policy on health-related information, some Courses include reflection questions whose answers may reveal information about your health, including addiction or recovery. We treat this as a firm rule, not only a general policy: analytics and advertising cookies and similar technologies are never active on pages where these questions are shown, answered or displayed back to you, and on the pages where your trainer or the platform administrator reads your answers, whatever your cookie choices elsewhere on the Website.

8. E-mails

E-mails that we send because of what you do on the Website, such as order confirmations and password resets, contain no tracking pixels or tracking links. Our newsletters may contain a small image or links that tell us whether you opened or clicked an e-mail. We use this only if you have subscribed, and you can unsubscribe at any time with one click.

9. How long do cookies last?

Some cookies are session cookies, which are deleted automatically when you close your browser. Others are persistent cookies, which stay on your device for a set period, shown in the table above, or until you delete them yourself.

10. Who receives the data?

Data from essential cookies stays with Studio DR, except for payment data, which Stripe processes as described in our Privacy Policy, including transfers outside the European Economic Area and the safeguards used. Data from analytics cookies is processed by Studio DR. Our Privacy Policy explains how long data is kept and what rights you have.

11. Can this Cookie Policy change?

We may update this Policy from time to time, for example if we start using a new cookie or technology. We will post the updated Policy on the Website with a new “Last updated” date and, where the change is material, ask for your consent again through the cookie banner.

12. Contact us

If you have questions about this Policy or about the cookies we use, please contact our Data Protection Officer, Emilian Kujawski, at iod@studiodr.pl (Poland) or privacy@studiodr.pl (outside Poland), or write to contact@thesecondstep.net.
